Reminds me of the flame of a gas stove, but that wouldn't throw sparks - really a great picture, those different forms of fire on nothing but black!

Well, actually it's exactly a gas stove. The sparks were created with a flint stone from a lighter.

i see sparks???, this shot is really fantastic it has an amazing touch to it. i also read that you used a old camera for this (a crappy compact), its never a situation of good camera= good photograher... well done..

Yes it's been taken with my old compact camera (which I still use btw for quick unseen out-of-the-pocket-shots). It's technically not top notch but I still like this old photo.

The exif says 1 second, so not that quickly. But I remember how many tries I needed to produce the right amount of sparks at the right moment. :D

Some seriously well made photography. I like the whole piece. This is very innovating and I suppose that the guestion that everyone thinks when they first see the picture is 'how were those sparkles produced'. :)

Was auch immer es sein mag, es sieht sehr interessant aus.
Hier gefällt mir vor allem das Blaue (Licht/Flammen?!), ich steh' unheimlich auf Blau :) Sehr schön gemacht!
